How it works

Water passes through 5 filtration stages, split across two easy-to-replace cartridges: the RO cartridge (reverse osmosis — 0.0001 micron precision, a physical barrier against sediment and dissolved particles) and the PCT cartridge — called the "Compound Filter" in the official technical sheet — pre-filtration and post-RO polishing for a clean taste. The 0.0001 micron precision is smaller than most bacteria and dissolved particles — the standard threshold used by reverse osmosis technology worldwide. The system is tankless — it filters on demand, with no tank where water sits stored.

Design & installation

Installation is done professionally by the RIVELO team, directly under the sink — available in Bucharest and Ilfov. For the rest of the country, the system comes with a complete installation manual translated into Romanian, and the step-by-step DIY installation video guide is in production; we're gradually expanding our network of partner installers to other major cities across the country. The system runs on standard mains water pressure (0.1–0.4 MPa) and plugs into a regular outlet (100–240V AC) — no special electrical supply needed. The dedicated faucet, with its LED indicator, shows at a glance whether the water is good (blue) or whether it's time to change the filter (red) — no displays to read or calculations to make. The unit also has its own touch panel, with TDS monitoring and filter reminders, visible when you open the cabinet under the sink.

Testing & certifications

The system is CE certified (electromagnetic compatibility EN55014, electrical safety EN60335-1) and RoHS certified (free of restricted hazardous substances). Production takes place in an ISO9001 (quality management) and ISO14001 (environmental management) certified facility. The filtered water was independently tested via a laboratory ICP analysis, benchmarked against WHO drinking water limits: heavy metals — lead, mercury, arsenic, cadmium, chromium — below the detection limit. The analysis covers the range of metals and minerals; it does not replace a full microbiological test.

Want remineralized water for coffee or tea? NIXO can be paired with the optional RIVELO calcium (for coffee) or magnesium (for tea) filters — sold separately.
