How does a RIVELO system work?
Tap water passes through a reverse osmosis system with 0.0001 micron precision, split across two cartridges: a pre-filtration cartridge and an RO cartridge (the actual reverse osmosis membrane). The system is "tankless" — it filters on demand, right at the faucet, with no tank where water sits stored.
What's the difference between NIXO and CRYSTAL?
Both filter at the same precision (0.0001 microns). The main difference is at the faucet: NIXO has a simple LED indicator (blue = good water, red = replace filter), while CRYSTAL has a digital display showing the real-time TDS value, right on the faucet. CRYSTAL also has a higher flow rate (800 GPD vs. 600 GPD), recommended for families of 3 or more.

Is the filtered water alkaline or remineralized?
No. NIXO and CRYSTAL, in their standard configuration, don't remineralize or alkalinize the water — they filter through reverse osmosis and pre-filtration. If you want remineralized water (recommended for coffee or tea), you can add the optional RIVELO calcium or magnesium filters, installed inline on the purified water outlet — sold separately from the base system.
Do I need electricity for the system?
Yes. The system plugs into a standard 220V outlet — it doesn't need a special electrical supply.
What certifications do RIVELO systems have?
The systems are CE certified (electromagnetic compatibility and electrical safety) and RoHS certified (free of restricted hazardous substances), manufactured in an ISO9001 and ISO14001 certified facility. These are electrical safety and manufacturing facility certifications — we don't claim any other certifications we can't back up with documentation.
Installation and maintenance
Who does the installation?
Installation is done by the RIVELO team, directly under the sink. The system runs on standard mains water pressure — no special plumbing work required.
How often do the filters need to be changed?
For NIXO: the RO membrane is replaced every 18-24 months, and the pre-filtration cartridge every 9-12 months. For CRYSTAL: the filter set (RO + pre-filtration) lasts 6-24 months, depending on source water quality and usage. The faucet automatically lets you know (LED or TDS display) when it's time to change the filters.

What happens to the wastewater?
Like any reverse osmosis system, the filtration process also produces a certain amount of wastewater, directed to the drain through a fitting installed along with the system.

Can I return the product if I don't like it?

All RIVELO systems come with a 24-month warranty from the date of purchase.
